In a particularly well-con-tested match, the holders; O. G. Bigs and'N. Williams (s), Carterton, were defeated by the challengers, W. Pinnerty and A. Kilgour (s), Masterton, 22-18. There waa- a neck and neck struggle .vp1 to the final head, when the Masterton pair secured a margin of two and Kilgour put in a wonderful shot that won the match; ■ '
