CAMERA CLUB

The fortnightly meeting of the Welling-ton-Camera Club was held at 74 Manners Street,.before a. moderate attendance. Mr. J. W. Johnson gave members some excellent examples of still-life studies. The lecturer said that the three chief things to be remembered in still-life were composition, lighting, and . suitable background, preferably plain. Many examples were shown and various articles were used, such as fruit, teapot, enamel ware, etc. The lecturer said that the subjects had to be suited to one another. Mr. Mackay took^ several phaios of Mr. Johnson'a ideas from different angles and distances. A hearty vote of thanks to the lecturer was carried on the motion of Mr. Chapman Taylor.
