RETURNED SOLDIERS

KILBIRNIE-LYALL BAY . BRANCH

The Kilbirnie-Lyull'Bay auxiliary of the Returned Soldiers' Association is running along on progressive lines, and now has a clubroom of its own. Varying forms of entertainment are being provided, the facilities for the enjoyment of those attending tho clubroom including two billiard tables. Provision is made for numerous other games, and there is also a library. Unemployed returned soldiers are granted free use of the room and facilities. A card evening is held weekly, and is proving n popular attraction. Last night's tournament, in which there were over fifty participants, was again a success. The prizewinners were:—Ladies, Mesdnmes Torkiugton, Cuton, and Friudlunder; men, Messrs. Wiekens and Brown.
