GATE RECEIPT COMPARISONS
(From "The PMt's" Special Reporter.) , PALMERSTONN., This Day. . Beautiful weather is again the order for the final day of the Manawatu Spring Show, the sun shining brightly from a cloudless sky. '
Further horse competitions form a centre of attraction, and this afternoon tho. star feature of the show will be held, namely, the grand parade of stock. School'children have a special opportunity of inspecting the exhibits, and a large number are present.
• • The gate receipts yesterday amounted to £298, as against £449 for the second, day of the 1932 Royal Show, and £612 in 1931. "The total amount taken on the first two days was £500, representing a decrease of' £257, compared ■with the corresponding figures of last year's show, and showing also a decrease on the 1931 takings of £.831. Over 5000 people visited tho show on the first day. In making comparisons regard must be had for the fact that tho admission charge last year and this year was less than in 1931 and previous years. . . ' .
