OPTIMISTIC OUTLOOK
(Received November 2, 11 a.m.) \ LONDON, November 1. The Federation of British Industrie^ in its trade forecast for the last quarter of 1933, says: "Despite _ many; unfavourable factors still operating ii the international field, particularly thi recent setback in the United States, it is possible to view tho future witi optimism. "The world may be said to hay« planted its feet so firmly on tho road! to recovery that it will take something more drastic than transitory ©vents like instability of the French frana| and tho American dollar, to divert it from its course. Even if there is s'oma modification of tho gold standard an<J . a further appreciable flight from thai dollar, there is no reason why wa should bo unable to retain control ofl the domestic situation. The same i| true of many other countries."
