' One of the young storks released recently near Essen" to ascertain which route they., would follow when flying to their winter-quarters- in' Africa has been found dead near Constanza. , The discovery appears.to prove that the stork and its companions,, born and bred in the eastern parts of Germany, but released in Western Germany, followed a hereditary instinct by choosing the route 'via South-eastern Europe, ivhile storks-born. : a.ndbred.-in--Western Germany fly to Africa via Spain.
