A vanity mirror prov6d a valuable addition to the tool-kit of a Fraulein Eli Bcinhorn, a German airwoman, who was in difficulties during a flight from Berlin to Cape Town (states a correspondent). Slip experienced bad weather, and after several bumps was startled by a sudden jerk, and found that she had lost control of the Tudder. Tho machine was behaving in an extraordinary manner, Fraulcin Beinhorn said, and she Was unable to discover the cause, because she could not sco the lower parts of tho machine bohind her. Through a vanity mirror-sho was able to look back and learn that tho terrific bumping apparently had loosened the catch of the lid of the luggage compartment. Asa result, various articles had fallen out, and her coat had become entangled iii the rudder. She managed to control the machine until the coat' was torn away by tho wind. .
