(Received October 25, 3 p.m.) HOLLYWOOD, October 24. - The police reported that Robert Mantell, 21, son of the late Shakespearean actor, shofcand killed himself early today in a flat occupied by himself and his mother, known on the stage as Gencvieve Hamper. The suicide, for which his friends told the police the motive apparently was discouragement over his career as an actor, took place on the eve of his mother's return to the stage, where she was to appear in the role of Portia. ■
