MAIL-CARRIER AEROPLANE
CRASH IN OFFICIAL TRIALS
: . ("Times" Cable.) \ ' LONDON, October 24. A new Boultou and Paul high-gpeefl mail-carrier was , completely ' wrecked during official trials at the experimental establishment at Suffolk. The , pilot, Flight-Lieutenant Bieh« mond, was seriously injured. . The cause of the accident is obscure, but the fact that the aeroplane was flown three times for as many hours during the makers'', trials as the contract required, suggests that it was not due to laek of air-worthinoss.
