SYNOPSIS OF LAST 24 HOURS. .\ Xlie anticyclone of which mention was mad« yesterday is moving eastwards and a fairly deep westerly depression covers the southern portion of the Dominion. North-westerly winds have freshened south of Wanganul and Castle* point. North of that, south-westerlies still prevail. So far, though skies are cloudy in westeru. districts, the only rain reported is from Puysegur Point, fine weather having been practically, general. Temperatures are much milder.
