The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated October 21, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London:— Tallow.-Markct steady at about last quotations.. . -. Hemp-Manila, market quiet and unJanuary 1 to October 9, 028,000 bales against 684,000 for the same period last via'Stocks in the United Kingdom at October 1, 6684 bales against 23,397 at same time last year. Stocks in Manila at OctobeToHoVo bales against 136,000 for the same period last year. Sisal, market steadier. Value for October-December Sent, £17 ss.' New Zealand, market quiet. Small business has been done for October-December shipment fair grade at £13 15s and common grade at bit i ws. Stocks in London at October 1, 44 tons, against 82 tons same time last year.
