MIRAMAR LADIES' TOURNEY

The Miramar Ladies'" Open Golf Tournament commenced today in fine but gusty weather, with au attendance of golfers from most local clubs and some visitors. The first qualifying round for the championship was played this morning. The leading gross score was that of Miss Helean (Castlecliff), who did a 78, one over the standard scratch, ladies' score, an excellent card under very windy conditions. Some very long scores were returned. The following led in the first medal handicap':—Miss Helean, 78, 4—74; Miss Barton, 89, 12—77; Mrs. Dalgleish, 90, 11—79; Miss White-Parsons, SS, 9—70: Miss Hanson, So, 6—70; Mrs. Blain, 89, B—Bl.
