HAWERA REPRESENTATION

(Special from "Limited.") HAWERA, This Day. A team of thirteen Hawera-trained horses are booked to compete at Waverley on Monday, the centre being represented in each race. March Alone is to make his first appearance as a hurdler, but so far he does not show particular aptitude for the business and his chance does not appeal, although it is a weak field. Don Erma has had hunting experience and is a good jumper and is endowed with plenty of pace. He will be ridden by J. M. Pine, who will be having his second ride over the obstacles. Of the pair Don Erma is to be preferred. Weatherzane, Paparua, and Flying East will do battle for Hawera1 in the maiden race, which • contains some smart gallopers. Weatherzane looks the likeliest of the trio to show up. f Green Linnet and Eichfield appear in the Brewer Handicap, but the latter will most likely be reserved for the Cup race. Green Linnet has not been up long, but is coming on quickly and will have the services of G. Duncan. W. Pine's Lackham mare La Crown haa been doing particularly good track work and her latest gallop over seven furlongs, when she ran away from Chief Line in Imin 30sec, was impressive. If she runs up to'form she will be handy at the finish in the Wilson Highweight Handicap. Round Table, a brother to High Falutin', and who, since 0. Cox has been-away in Australia, has been under R. Brough's care, has made considerable improvement, and looks sure also to run a good race in the Highweight. Havering. Richfield, and Gibraltar are to race in the Cup. Havering is still big in condition and will be improved by the race. Richfield and Gibraltar have done plenty of work and in a solidly-run race may prove capable of extending AH Humbug, who looks likely to go out at a very short price. In the distance hack race, the jMoumahnki Handicap, Hnwera has a strong representative in St. Clara, who will be very hard to bent. She is in nice order and looks much improved since last raced. H. Goldfinch will be her pilot.
