ISABELLA'S FIND
(Original.) One evening as Isabella was lying in her bed, she heard someone speaking, but they were not like ordinary voices. "I wonder who can be talking1?" she thought. "And I don't want to leave Fairyland," said one of the voices. - , "Then why don't we leave a human to find it?" the other replied. "Good! Lets see if we can get one now. " . Soon Isabella found herself gliding through the window ( with . two little fairies. "We hope you will be:,able to help us to find .Princess Spring's lost ball," said Fairy Buttercup, one of the fairies. ' ' ' In less than two minutes they were in a beautiful garden; and at one end of it was a lovely palace made of jonquils and daffodils. "Oh, how lovely!" gasped Isabella. "That is the palace of Princess Spring," said : Fairy Bluebell, the other fairy. : ,' As soon as they entered they, saw, a most beautiful girl. It was Spring herself. Spring asked Isabella if she had seen a golden ball. "The one with gold and silver tinted all over it?" asked Isabella. , "Yes, have you seen it?'.' cried Spring excitedly. " Yesterday as I was walking through the paddock) I saw something shining in the long grass. I picked it up and took it liome, and hid it in my room under the bed," said Isabella. . '■' Could I have it' now?" asked Spring. ' ' "Yes, right now," answered Isabella. Spring then sent Bluebell and' Buttercup to fetch it. Soon they were back, and presented it to Spring. "Thank you," she said. She added to the two fairies: "Now you may stay in Fairyland, as I know it wasn't you who stole my precious, ball." "No, it was Ink Imp who stole it, and blamed it on to us," said Buttercup. So then Isabella went home and had a nice breakfast, and told her mother about her adventure. "WILD VIOLET" (11). Ohiro Bay.
