United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Eeceived October 19, 1 p.m.) CAPE TOWN, October 18. In consequence of the shortage of butter the Union Government has agreed to the Control Board importing 6000 cases, one week's normal require-; ments. It is estimated that the stocks will be reduced at the end of October to 400,0001b. The position will be reviewed weekly. Imported butter will be sold at the port of landing for Is 6d a lb, and will be retailed at 2s 3d. Tho drought has broken in the cattle districts, but the shortage of butter will continue for some time. '
