United Press Association— By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received October 19, 10 a.m.) SINGAPORE, October 18. Mr. C. T. P. Illm and his party in the Faith in Australia, reached Alor Star at 6.40 o 'clock ' this morning. He later arrived at Singapore, and left at 7.15 p.m. on an all-night flight to Surabaya. Ho is seven hours ahead of Sir Charles Kingsford Smith's record. Ho stated that it depended on tho speed of the getaway from Surabaya as to whether hs could break the record, but there was not much hope.
