BELMONT ACTIVITIES

At' the recent, meeting of the Bel mont Women's Institute two new members joined, and were given a hearty; welcome by the president. ' It was decided to! continue -making peggy squares'for cot quilts to.be distributed to needy, cases, and Mrs. Tata was'elected to take 'charge oi tha squares. There was much ' discussion, regarding tire coming flower show, and members were asked to have their entries in early. The hostesses served a ' delicious afternoon tea, after which the Belmont members enacted the short play "Aunt / Jane's Emancipation," which caused much hilarity. A pianoforte: solo and community singing followed.. At the coming evening meeting there will be-a competition, for the best plate of sweets (two kinds) to> be mad* from lib sugar. , ' ' . •
