DEAR-MY-PIXIES:—

Lassie came visiting this week. She popped her head round the corner into the Fairy Ring and said: "Hullo, Fairiel. You look like somebody at a parly, with a bag of hundreds-and-thousands!" And it's 'zaclly as I felt, 100, with hundreds and thousands (nearly) of paintings all about me. t The extra iveek made all your brushes twice as busy, I think. First, I'll tell you the winners. "Punch" (13) "City "Daisy Dawn" (12) Karori "Windflower" (11) , Seatoun "Ice Cream" (9) Kilbirnie "Frosty Jack" (7) Kilbirnie These "beslies" ivere beautifully done. There were the lighl-and-shadoivs of a summer's day in '"Punch's"; Spring waving banners in "Daisy Daivn's"; clouds bloivn by a breeze and far-and-near green hills in "Windflower's"; and sunset skies at 6 o'clock in both "Icecream's" and "Frosty Jack's." Next-best were painted by "Anita" (16); "Crystal Blue" (14); "Avis" (14); "Beppie" (13); "Honnette" (11); "Polyanthus" (11); "Black-eyed Susan" (10); "Flying Arrow" (7); and "Nancina" (7). And of all that Postie brought to me, not one was badly done. I must say good-bye, for Printer-man is waiting. Love to you all, and congratulations to the prize-winners. FAIRIEL.
