CLEARANCE IN LONDON UPWARD TREND IN VALUES United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph— Copyright. (Received October 13, 9 a.m.) LONDON, October 12. The "Financial News," reviewing the closing of the London wool series, states that the sales have proved the general der mand of wool for urgent requirements. It was a considerable achievement for Londqn to clear stocks so advantageously in view of the slight decline noticeable in the Australian markets. The genera] trade trend appears to be towards a higher level of activity, with wool participating in the general recovery.
