Mrs. Duncan Stout, Wellington, has beeu visiting Palnierstou North for tho Manawatu golf championships, and will take part next' week in the Dominion tournament at Wanganui. . , . Mrs. W. H. Symes, Christchurch, will arrive in . Wellington on Wednesday next for a visit. Ellen Jones, Bryndwr, Christchurch, arrived in Wellington this morning to meet, her parents, ..Mr. and Mrs. David Jones,.who will return from England next Week. Sho will be the guest of Mrs. A. E. Sandral, Hobson Crescent, while in Wellington. . Miss Luhi Dyer, Tinakori Road, will leave Wellington on Tuesday for Wanganui, \vhere she will take part in the New Zealand ladich' golf championships. Mihs May Ilandysifle, Hawke's Bay, who has been the guest of Mis. W. i\ Ilandyside, Lower Ilutt, is now staying with Mrs. A. 11. Miles, Hobson Street. Mis. Jasper Parrott, who has been spending some months in Wellington, will leave on October 17, en route to China, where she will join her husband, Paymaster-Lieutenant Jasper Parrott, R.N., of H.M.S. Eagle. Miss Leila Scott, Lyttelton, is tho guest of Miss Hazel Peterson, Kelburn. Mrs. H. E. Simmonds, Auckland, is tho guest of Mrs. F. M. Reid, Kelburn. Miss Mardic Ward, Heretaunga, will leave on Tuesday for ' Wanganui, where she will take part in the Dominion ladies' golf championships. Mrs. J. C. Sinythe, Wellington, is visiting Auckland. Miss, P. Carney (Christchurch) 'and! Miss L. Quayle (Goromandel) aro among the guests, at the Grand Hotel.
