OARTERTON; This: Day. •'"', At the annual iiieeting of the Cartevton La.wn Tfenhis Club,it was decided to officially .open the courts for play on November 4, but- subject to thie green committee's approval; the three outside courts may be opened beforehand.- ; . The general committee was recommended to include championship and handicap (men's)' doubles in the competitions for the 1933-34 season; also that some consideration be made of means to coach the junior ladies of the: club. . Three' new members were elected, and the following officers elected: —President, Mr. R. W. Roydh'ouse; club captain, Mr. D. L. Tayerner; junior captain, Mr. W. J. Candy; lion, secretary and treasurer, Mr. W. A; dimming; green committee, Mr. J. Steel; ladies' secretary, Miss D. Mpncrieff; general committee. Messrs. C Burgess, R. N. Campbell, C. K. Goodin, H. B. Kecnan..Mcstlames J. Steel, C. Burgess, Mifscs L. Fisher. M. Smart; match committee, Mrs. J. Steel, captain, and junior captain; delegate to Wairarapa Lawn Tennis Association, Mr. D. L. Taverner; C grade match committee, Messrs. G. Brown, W. C. Dellcr, »nd H. B.'Keenan.
