BUTTER STEADIER, CHEESE FIRMER

The Dairy Board reports for the week ended October 6 that the London, butter^ market is steadier for the week, and the cheese market firmer.' Prices for New Zealand salt butter are 98s to 102s per cwt; Danish, 105s Od to 108s; Australian-salt, 99s to 102s. Unsalted butter, New Zealand; is 105s to 112s, and Australian, 104s to 100s. • Retail prices of butter are:—New Zealand, Is Id per lb; Danish, Is 2d. Cheese,' New Zealand, is selling at 49s to 51s for white and 49s to 50s for coloured; Canadian, 52s to 56s for white, and 53s to 56s for coloured, the market being quiet. • Ketail price of New Zealand cheese is unchanged ■at 6d. ."-:;.. .
