Dalgcty and Company have today received a; cable frqin tlicir hetid office, London, dated October 6, as follows:—"Wool sales continue with pood general competition. As compared with opening rates, Rreasy Unerino (best), fairly firm; greasy merino (other .descriptions), 5' per cent, to ,7% , i*er cent, .lower (decline most pronounced on heavy wasty descriptions); scoured merino, 5 per cent, lower; for greasy, crossbred there is a strong deinrtnd, prices being unchanged; scoured crossbred, 5 per cent, lower; slipes, 5 per cqnt to T/i per ceut. lower.". ... -'
The Bank of Xew. South Wales is in receipt of the following cable- message from its London office, dated October 6:— '';fcondon -wool sales: Slipes easier; others firm; competition -maintained."
