OPENING TOMORROW

REDDING SHIELD REGATTA

The official opening of the 1933-34 rowing season, 'will, talce place tonior-1 row afternoon, The Mayor (Mr, T* C. A. Hislop) will perform the. official opening ceremony from the balcony of the Star Boating Club^a premises, and immediately this is over a' start will, be made with the Bedding Shield Regatta. This contest, which was won last year by the Petone Bowing Club, should prove an interesting event. The three local clubs—Star,- Wellington, and Petone—will be competing. If the water conditions are unsuitable the regatta will be postponed,until the fol-, lowing Saturday, and !will" theu be rowed at Petone after the official opening of the Petone Club.
