EVIDENCE AT INQUIRY

WASHINGTON, October 5. The principal evidence at the shipping investigation today was the admission of the fact that J. Dockendorff, president of various companies, including the Diamond Lines, favoured by the United States . Shipping Board, _ had drawn a salary and expenses of 553,000 dollars within seven years, although the companies showed almost consistent losses since 1920, and their only regular income was from Government contracts.
