Kilkenny, Mayor of Westport, telegraphed to thoPrimo Minister today,as follows:-1-''The"VVestport Bor-i ough Council urges the Government im-' mediately- to .afceept the ■ tennis of the English company which-is prepared to invest £600,000 in the manufacture of by-products from bituminous coal in New Zealaml. As the Government has I large capital invested'in the harbour and railway, here. the. establishment of works would immensely benefit the harbour, railway, and. district.".
