BRIGHT PROSPECTS OF OTAGO
(By Telegraph.) (Special to' the "Evening Post") DUNEDIX, This Day. Further support for those who .have faith in the .future of the gold industry in Otago was forthcoming in the remarks of Mr. W. E. Hughes, a director of a big London iron and steel firm who has bceu in the province for the last four-months. Mr. Hughes said he had come out here with the intention of staying only three weeks, but he had found so much to interest him that he had greatly extended the period of his visit. He was convinced that the goldmining industry was going to mean a great deal to Otago and New Zealand, and he had no hesitation in supporting the remarks of Mr. Kelly (an Australian engineer), who had spoken with optimism concerning the prospects.
