ST. JOHN AMBULANCE

ANNUAL INSPECTION

The annual inspection of the Wellington Corps, St. John Ambulance, took place on Saturday afternoon at the Winter Show building. There was a large attendance of members. The- Hutt and Petone Corps, which are part of the Wellington Division, will hold their inspection separately. Mr. W. W. Dutton, corps superintendent, was officer in charge of tho parade. ■ Mr. F. W. Ward, assist-ant-commissioner, carried out the official inspection. The following medical officers attended:—Dr. C. D. Henry, Dr. D. E. Platts-Mills, Dr. L. A. Line, Dr. A. E. Palmer, and Dr. A. L. YoungFollowing the inspection and march past, bandaging and stretcher displays were given. The Assistant Commissioner presented a number of certificates to members of the Wellington East No. 1 Division, and expressed his thanks at the exceptionally fine attendance.

■Those cadets who received certificates of proficiency in the preliminary examination for first aid to the injured are as follows:—A. Boyd, G. Braddock, J. Braddock, W. G. Evans, W. Flannagan, B. Free, N. Gestio, S. Goodwin, G. Hunter, V. M. McConchie, W. Phillips, A. Eate, T. Eate, ■W. Rigg, F. J. Rogers, Rr Summers., and N. G. Whittingfon.
