POLICY CRITICISED
A criticism of the Government's policy towards the relief of unemployment was made by Mr. D. W. Coleman (Labour, Gisborne) in the House of Representatives yesterday afternoon. . . .... .'• ; . Mr. Coleman said that tho policy of, the Government had been a gigantic; failure, and that New Zealand was de-' veloping into a nation of beggars. People were being driven to charitable institutions for assistance. "What are the prospects for boys and girls? The boys will grow up to be relief workers, and lOur daughters will grow, up to marry relief workers," he said. Mr. Coleman complained that nothing was being done for women and girls. He advocated a Government policy of fostering and creating secondary indus-, 'tries. .' ;
