Early in the morning, when the sua began to xi»e, there came to me a genii, of quite abnormal size. "Oh girl——" he boomed in 1 a voice of thunder (I thought he'd split the walla asunder). "Bise and dress and come with me to the palace, where lives the King of the Sea!" Then he grasped and held my hand, and off we flew right over the land. Then before I could even make a motion, there we were at the Pacific Ocean! Down we dived beneath the deep: before us we saw the fishes leap. Soon we came to the Sea King's palace, ana to us he came •with a silver chalice. "Drink," said he, "of this magic wine—no, before'ypu do so} come and dine." In we went, and dined right royally, with a fish's fin in place of a doily. . . : . Then of the magic wine I drank, and down through the palace I floated and sank. Then to my amazement I looked and saw I wafl back in pj; pwg room—pa the floor!
