Competition was animated, tlie demand fjr sheepskins being strong and general, prices advancing Vid and at times Vad on previous quotations. Damaged and inferior short woollen lots were a triile easier. Salted skins, of which there was only a small oiforing, showed a corresponding rise. There was good inquiry for all grades and descriptions of hides. As compared with late rates heavies, mediums, and light weights were easier by l-8d to %d, while kip aud yearlings declined up to Vsd.
