The Melanesian Mission' vessel Southern Cross VII, successor to the ill-fated Southern Cross VI, which wns wrecked on Aneityum Island, .lv the Loyalty Group, on her maiden voyage from Auckland to the Solomon .Islands last November, left England for the Solomons last Sunday. Thc-new Southern Cross, unlike its predecessors, will remain in the Islands and wljl not make periodical visits to Auckland. ■ ■ . . FIRST BLUE STAR VESSEL. The first vessel to run in the New Zealand sen-ice for the Blue Star Line, the Norman Star, sailed-from Balboa on Wednesday, en route from the Tyne to New Zealand ports, according to cabled advice. The vessel should arrive in New Zealand late next month. The Norm.in Star has evidently replaced the Tuscan Star, originally scheduled to load in New Zealand during November.
