ARTISTIC CROCKING
FRIEDA SHAW'S DISPLAY
The artistic choice of colour in the frocking was an outstanding feature of Frieda Shaw's annual physical culture display held last evening in the Blue Triangle Hall. Mrs. Shaw wore a beautiful frock of pale begonia pink flat crepe cut on medieval lines with a train and billowing sleeves fitted into along, tight cuff and finished with steel sequins to match the sequin harness collar. For the interpretation of Sibelius's Valse Triste, Miss Marian Todd wore a .flowing'gown o*f a subtle stone colour with long wing-like sleeves. .For the self-expression exercises the girls wore pearl gray georgette frocks cut on classical, lines which changed colour as the .rainbow lights were thrown upon them. TChe girls who performed the fencing \ exercises were smartly attired in whate berets, white waistcoats, and blackVshorts.-The fifty girls taking part in the "colour card," each, wore a different shade of ' blue, cyclamen, pin"k, orange, or green. For the- advanced reclining exercises, which were performed by Mrs. Shaw and her daughters, orange crepe do chine tunics and shorts were worn.
