NAVY LEAGUE RECEPTION

A Navy League reception will . be tendered to Rear-Admiral Dalglish and the officers of H.M.A.S. Canberra and H.M.A.S. Australia, in the Mayfair Cabaret, Cuba Street, next Monday (Dominion Day)^at 3 p.m. The president of the Navy Leagu» (Mr. J. T. Grose), will preside, and h« will be supported by the Mayor^(Mr. T. C. A. Hislop) and the Minister of Defence (the Hon. J. G. Cobbe). Officers of the New Zealand Division of the Royal Navy will also attend, as well as officers of the Army and the Air Force of New Zealand. Officers will wear uniform, and private citizens ordinary dress. After a few words of welcome, the afternoon will be devote* to tea and dancing.
