In the Pacific south-west tennis tournament Perry (Britain) defeated van Hyn (U.S.A.), 6-1, 0-3; Stoefen (U.S.A.) eliminated Nunoi (Japan), 6-4, 6-4.
In an exhibition match Billy Seward, a Beverly Hills junior, defeated McGrath, (5-3, 7-5.
In the exhibition doubles Perry and Nunoi defeated Crawford and Turnbull, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4.
