LODGE MEETINGS
Wanvhotu Lodge, No. 136, i.0.0.F., N.Z., held its fortnightly, meeting lust week at Upper Hutt, Bro. Pemberton, N.G., presiding over a good attendance. The usual business was preceded with, and at the conclusion of the meeting a game of cards was enjoyed by members.
The fortnightly meeting of Wildey Lodge, No. 107, 1.0.0. F., N.Z., Island Bay, was held last week, Bro. \V. S. Hammond, N.G., presiding over a good attendance. Visitors included the D.D.G.M., Bro. G. Rudkin, Bro. Rowntree (Zealandia Lodge), Bro. Stuart (Kupe Lodge), Broe. Ryan and Reiliy (Southern Cross Lodge), on official visits. Two raembers-ijWere declared on the sick fund, and one member declared _.off the fund, relative sick pay, with general accounts, bein^ passed for. payment. Reports from eociai and other committees were adopted. Invitations • were received from kindred lodges for. sociuli?. Three candidates were nominated for membership. Bro. A.''- J. Holding was appointed secretary of the social committee. The first nomination of oflicers was taken. Four members weec elected'• to receive two degrees at the next meeting of District. Lodge. Bro.. Rutlkin presented to Bro. A. J. Goodall. a Past Grand's collar in recognition 'of services rendered. Cards terminated the evening. Onslow Lodge, No. .128, 1.0. Q.F., N.Z., held its regular meeting at Khaudallah last week, Bro. L. P. C. Cooper. V.G., presiding over a good attendance. One member was reported to be in hospital, .and relative sick pay, together with general iccounts, was passed for payment. Members of Victoria Rebekah Lodge, No. 2, 1.0.0. F., N.Z., assembled recently for their periodical meeting. Three candidates for membership were : nominated. The finals were Held m connection with the junior and senior ritual competitions. Sister Lister winning the junior and Sister Keyton the senior. The first nominations of officers for the ensuing term were taken, and official visits for the month arranged. The regular meeting of O-lviwi-lti Rebc'kah Lodge, No. 44, 1.0.0. F., N.Z., was held recently, Sister McPhee, N.G.,, presiding over a fair attendance. • Invitations to various lodge functions were accepted. First nominations of officers were taken and general business of the lodge discussed. Nothing further offering, all. present went into harmony.' ' . ' , Sister' N. Torkington. The second nomination of officers met with, a good response. ■ After the meeting a successful dance was held. . Lily of the Valley /Rebekah Lodge, No. 57 1.0.0. F., N.Z.; held its Regular meeting at Upper Hutt, Sister Baillie, N.G., presiding over a good attendance. Two candidates were nominated for membership Official visits '.were paid by Bro. diet, Bro. If. L. Rule, D.D.G.51., Hutt Valley District, and members of Rose, .of Wellington; Kahiri, Esther, Victoria, O-Kiwi-Iti, and Star of Petone Rebekah Lodges. The first nominations of officer'*^ were received; A vote of welcome w;as"* accorded visitors. Bros. ,Kule and Riidkiu replied. Representatives of the following lodges conveyed fraternal greetings:—Rose of Wellington', Rahiri, Victoria, Esther, O-Kiwi-Iti, Star of Petone, Kupe, Port Nicholson Encampment, Pride of Karori, and Bellvue. At the conclusion of lodge business dancing and cards terminated the evening. •__,
