MANY ONLOOKERS
BABY SHOW AT FAIR
Nearly 150 mothers entered their babies in the Baby Show, a feature of the Fielden Taylor Fair, in the Town Hall yesterday afternoon. Some exceedingly beautiful children were seen, their ages ranging from six months to three years. All classes were' large, especially the "best colouring" group, where the'judges had a difficult task to separate the children.. In, several classes it was impossible to award only one prize. . The judges were Mrs. Me Vicar, Miss Clarke, and Miss Samson, of the Karitane Home, and Miss Morgan, of the Alexandra Home.
The prizes wore awarded as follows:—Boys: Six to 12 months, Peter McEae; under six months, Warwick Percival Stevenson; 1 to 2 .years, Colin Wyatt. Girls: Under 6 months, Jocelyn Williams and Erina Mills, equal; best colouring, Dawn Blvy and Graeme Dunn, equal; over six and under 12 months, Mavis Tomlin I, Eleanor Degerholm 2. Twins, Lucy and Kenneth Kettles 1, the Butler twins 2.
