The woo] market continues firm. The highest price realised 32% d per lb for a lot of wether fleece.
Japanese buyers dominated the sale.
Heavy losses of sheep in the western districts owing to drought are expected to considerably reduce the Queensland jelip.. ';..'•' :
The "Pastoral Review" weather report for August as to Queensland was-to the effect that "the position in Queensland is greatly improved compared with' a few months ago as the result of several good winter rains, but as yet, owing to cold weather, feed in many districts had not made a very marked response."
