PALMERSTON NORTH SALE.

At the weekly pig and poultry sales conducted by the Dominion Auctioneering Co., Palmerston North, on Saturday, there was a capacity yarding of pigs. There was a large bench of buyers, and all lines -were cleared at rates well in advance of the previous week. Realisations were as follows:—Pigs: Weaners, 12s to 17s; slips, 15s to 235; stores, 22s to 28s; porkers, to 36s 6d; large white Tammy sow with litter, £7 5s to £7 10s. There was also a large yarding of poultry, prices for which showed a slight decline on the previous week's realisations. Prices were as follows:—Poultry: Hens, 3s to 4s 6d per pair; cockerels, 4s to ss; geese, 2s; ducks, 4s to 6s; hen and chicks, 11s each; turkey gobblers, 7s 6d each; turkey hens, 3s 3d to 3s 9d each.
