MURDER CHARGE

George Edward. James,-, aged 57, an engine driver, was charged ia the Magistrate's Court this morning, before Mr. W. P. Stilwell, S.M., with murdering Cecilia Smith.: He was again remanded,; until next .Monday,:by which time it is hoped that a definite date of hearing will be . arranged by-'the Crown Prosecutor, Mr. P. 8. K. Maeagsey, and counsel for the accused, Mr. W. E. Leicester. .: . .■:', Mr. C. E. Evans-Scott said that the police file had been completed last Tuesday and handed to Mr. Macassey, who was willing to make a fixture for tho hearing any. time after next Monday.
