WEDDING
FBNWICK—VINCENT.
A wedding was solemnised at St. Mark's Church, Cartcrton, on Wednesday afternoon, when Blanche Edith, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G.. A. Vincent, of Cartcrton, and'formerly of Pcatherston and Pahiatua, was married to Fairfax, second son of Mr. and the lato Mrs. G. Fenwick, formerly of Fcathcrston. Both families are well known in the Wairarapa, Mr. G. Fenwick being a former manager of the Bank of New Zealand at Frtatherston, and his son being well known in golfing circles both in the Wairarapa and at Gisborno. Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Vincent and their family have resided in the Wairarapa for a 'number :'/f years, Miss B; Vincent making many friends in her fields of sport—golf and tennis. Tho Bey. W. F. Stent, vicar of St. Mark's, officiated at the wedding cere-' nioriy. Mr. R. Carlton,-o£ Wellington, was best m,au,and Mr. J. Samuels, of Wellington, and Mi-. H. Lo Grove, Featherston, groomsmen. The church was prettily ' decorated with greenery and flowers. The.bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a ; white .satin gown, cut on long classical lines, with a veil of old point lace clasped with small sprays of orange blossom. She carried a sheaf of arum lilies, and was attended .by two bridesmaids, her sister, Miss Lily Vincent (Cartcrton), and Miss Joan Samuels, cousin (Christchureh). Mrs. W. Moronoy, sister of the bride (Carterton) was matron of honour. Miss Vincent, chief bridesmaid, wore a gown of hand-embroidered parchment mariette, with a sash of crushed gold' velvet, and a picture hat of Baku straw. She carried ' a trailing bouquet ■of spring flowers. Miss Samuels wore a gown of cream marietto with goffered frills, and a sash of gold. She also wore a picture hat of the same material. Her bouquet matched that of the chief bridesmaid's. Mrs. -Mordney wore a gown of crinkle crepe of Chinese gold, with hat to tone. A reception was held at the Marquis Hotel, where tho bride's mother received about 150 guests., Her frock was of violet marocain, with hat to match, and she wore a stole of ermine. She carried a posy of violets, and was assisted by Mrs. Moroney. Mr.' and Mrs. F. Fonwick left.later by motor-car foe Auckland, thence returning to sGisborne, where they .will reside. the bride's travelling dress was a bottle green tailored ensemble, with squirrel fur trimmings, hat, and bag to match.
