CHANGE OF VENUE LIKELY

At the monthly meeting of the Canterbury District Committee on Tuesday an application for a change of date and venue for its annual race meeting was received from the Hororata Racing Club, and this was granted. Later an application by the club for permission to hold the fixture on the Riccarton racecourse on December 16 was dealt with by the committee of the Canterbury Jockey' Club. The application was granted, subject to the necessary permission of the racecourse trustees and the approval of the Racing Conference being obtained.
