■The wedding took place, recently at St. Mark's Anglican Church, Eemnera, Auckland, of Mildred. (Bal?s) Challis, younger daughter of Mrs. Leonard Ch His and..the late Mr. L. Challis,. of Great - South Road, and Kenneth, younger son of Mr."and Mrs. 14.-J. Fort, of Lower-Hutt;- Wellington. Tho Roy. P..Houghton officiated, and the organ music was played by Mr. A. Pascoe. The bride,, w,ho was escorted by her uncle, Mr. W. J. .A. Thompson, wore a £voC. of;pastel pink, broche taffeta, cut on princess lines and' finished with. a train edged with tiriy frills. Her veil of old Irish point lace was lent by an old friend of tho family, and , was caught to the head with clusters of pink orange blossoms. Her bouquet was of St. Joseph lilies and hyacinths. The chief bridesmaid, Miss. Gwen Challis (sister of the bride), wore a frock of ciel blue Swiss embroidered organdie with full flared skirt and short puff Sleeves. Miss Margaret Clayton-Greene, of Hamilton, was the second bridesmaid and'was similarly frocked. Tiny caps of blue frilled organdie were also worn, and they carried1 bouquets of" forget-me-nots and pink sweet petis. Mrs. F. Winston Craddock was matron of honour, and wore a frock of parchment organdie with Swiss embroidery in gold and amber. A cap to match her frock was worn, and her bouquet was in wallflower colouring. Tho little flower girl, Miss Peggy Gannaway, cousin of the bride, wore an anklelength frock of maize-gold taffeta with frilled skirt, and a wreath of flowers on her hair. The best man was Mr. J. F. Paul, of Wellington, and the groomsmen were Mr. J. Dagger, of Blenheim, and Mr. F. Winston Craddock. The two ushers at the church were Mr. W. Laird Thomson and Mr. Clarence Hirst.
Only relatives and intimate friend? were present at the reception, held at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. A. Thomson (uncle and aunt of the bride). Mrs. Challis received the guests Waring a frock of Burgundy marocain, with felt hat in the same shade. She carried a bouquet of cyclamen. The mother of the bridegroom, Mrs. R. J. Port, wore a navy, ensemble with hat to match, and carried a bouquet of cameo pink carnations. Mrs. W. J. A. Thomson wore floral ninon in autumn shades, with hat to tone, and her bouquet was of wallflowers andautumn shaded flowers.
