ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL

A fine Associati6n football match should be seen at the Basin Reserve tomorrow, when Petone and Diamond will meet in the championship. The previous meeting between these two teams produced excellent football, and as this game will have an important bearing on the championship a hard game is expected. Petone will be all out to secure a victory, as this will make their position as champions fairly secure, although they have several more games to play. On No. 2 ground Technical will meet Watersiders. Technical must win this game to avoid relegation, and they are sure to fight hard right throughout the game. Two curtainraisers will be played. The progress scores between Wellington and Auckland for the Campbell Rose Bowl will be announced as they arrive.
