PIGS AT PALMERSTON
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., held a sale of pedigree pigs at Palmerston North yesterday, when sixty pigs were offered to a large bench of buyers. Bidding was keen, and prices were good throughout the sale. Quotations:—

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., held a stock sale at Kketahuna yesterday, competition being keen, with prices above recent rates. There was a good' entry of dairy cattle and a small yarding of sheep. . Quotations: .M.A. ewes, with 100 per cent, good b.f. lambs, 225; good woolly ewe hoggets, 14s fltl; best dairy heifers, on drop, £4 12s 6d to £5; medium sorts, £3 10s to £4^ 10s; later and poorer sorts, £2 Ijs to .€3 Ss. TAIHAPE PRICES. \ | The N.Z. Farmers' Co-op. Distributing Co.. Ltd., offered a yarding of 200 sheep, 23 pigs, and 100 head of cattle at Taihape sale on Wednesday. Sheep were in keen demand, and a total clearance was made. The cattle market was inclined to be erratic, and one or avo lines of grown cattle did not quite reach owners' reserves. Pigs were very keenly competed for and showed a sharp rise. Fat ewes, 16s 7d, 18s Id, to 18s 7d; fat hoggets, 21s; wtlier hoggets, 14s to v lss 3d; fat cows, £4; ditto, ex dairy, £2; well-bred yearling steers, £2 8s; springing heifers, £2 5s to £3; dairy cows, at drop, to £4; potter cows, 10s; well-bred wearier pigs, 225; slips, 17s Gd to 10s; sow with litter, £3 17s Gd.
