At the Sydney wool sales today 13.208 bales were offered, of which 12,287 were sold at auction, 1220 being sold privately. At today's closing sales, prices were firm at the best point of the series, all sections operating freely. Greasy merino made to 23d. ' . The average price of the wool sold on the first three days of this Week was £19 0s lOd per bale, or 14.3d per pound; The averngs price of the wool sold at Sydney last week was £10 19s 0d a bale, or 12.7 d per pound, compared with £10 17s 4d a bale or 8.2 d a pound for the first week's sales of last .season. The average for the last sales of the 1032-:» season in Juno was. £12 4.s 9d a bale, or 9.1 d a pound, and the average, tor the whole of last season was £11 2s Cd a bale, or 8.5 d a pound.
