(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) INVERCAEGILL, This Day. An unemployed married man with five children appeared in the Police Court today charged with driving a motor-ear while intoxicated.. In placing him on probation for two years and cancelling his licence, Mr. E. C. Levvcy, S.M., expressed the opinion that the only *emedy wasji imprisonment. He issued a warning that no matter what the circumstances might be, if people chose to drive vehicles while in a state of intoxication the Court could give no option of a fine.
