BOWLING

AUSTRALIAN CARNIVAL

The ninth Australian Bowling Council Carnival will be held in Adelaide from March 5 to 17 inclusive, and an invitation has been extended' to New Zealand bowlers to take part. It is hoped that at least sixteen or more New Zealand bowlers will attend. , The suggestion is made by the South Australian Bowling Association that if the N.Z.B.A. is agreeable, the New Zealand team could play a friendly match with each of thesHx States. "Adelaide," says the invitation, "has never been favoured with ' a visit of a team of New Zealand bowlers, and the receipt of an announcement that New Zealanders will attend the carnival will be much appreciated. I can assure your bowlers of a very warm welcome."
