MOTOR-SHIP ASHORE.
The British/ motor-ship Northmoor, which left Rosarlo, Argentina, for Sydney on June 16, went ashore at Cape Gallant, in >he Straits of Magellan, on June 23 during a heavy snowstorm, and No. 1 hold and forepeak were scrlous'y holed. It was necessary to dlschargu me cargo from No. 1 hold into coastal steamers before Ihe vesse> could be refloat*'! «nd taken to Magallanes for repairs. Tha Northmoor Is expected to resume her voyaee -lest Sundny and to reach Sydney about September 12. The vessel has a cargo of linseed, and had it not been for the acridert she would probably have come to Auckland tc unload a quantity.
