CARE OF CHILDREN
(To the Editor.)
Sir,—Just a suggestion in connection with the Smith Family. There are many couples—in my awn small circle vJ know of at least six—who are sufficiently, financial to afford'children, but who have been denied that supreme gift, lv so many cases these people expend a great deal of time money, and affection on dogs and I cats. Would it not be a wonderful thing: for some of these people to undertake the i care of an ill-nourished child for, say, sis months? Six months in private homes, surrounded with every care, would surely greatly benefit the children, relieve'overburdened parents, greatly help .the Smith Family, and give to the benefactors » lasting happiness and satisfaction deeper than any rceived from any carevof animals.—l am'etC- - ." .'MOTHER.
